Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

How long does a well pressure tank last?

Commonly somewhere between ten and fifteen years, though water chemistry and how hard the pump cycles change that a lot. A tank that feels heavy and sloshes when tapped near the top has usually lost its air charge and taken on water.

My water sputters at the tap. What does that mean?

Air in the line. On a well that can come from a dropping water level, a leak on the suction side, or a waterlogged tank pushing air through. It's worth diagnosing rather than living with, because a pump drawing air runs dry and overheats.

Is well water pressure supposed to change through the day?

Some variation between the cut-in and cut-out points is normal and by design. A steady slide toward weak pressure over weeks is not, and usually means the tank, the switch or the pump is losing ground.

If a pipe bursts, will insurance handle it?

That depends entirely on your policy and the cause of the break, so ask your insurance provider directly. Shut the water off at the main first, then worry about paperwork; the same advice holds out toward Boyce as it does here.
